Appointments
All routine office visits are by appointment only and
we require a 24-hour notice in the event you need to cancel.
To help patients keep their appointments, MS Care of
Connecticut uses TeleVox - an automated appointment reminder system that
contacts patients 48 hours in advance of their appointments.
What to Bring to Your First Appointment
Please bring your insurance
identification cards to every appointment, as well as any medical information
from your referring physician. This would include test results (MRI,
CT scans, X-rays and similar). This information will assist the physicians
in the evaluation of your condition.
Prescription Refills
Maintaining your medication is an important part
of your treatment plan and your physician will authorize prescription
refills as medically appropriate. Due to rotating schedules, please notify
our office at least 48 hours in advance of your prescription expiring
for a timely refill. On-call physician will not refill routine prescriptions.
Health Insurance Guidelines
Our office participates with most major insurance providers
in the region. If we participate with your plan, we will file the claim
for you and wait for payment. However, co-payment is due at the time
of your visit. If we do not participate in your plan, we will provide
you with a claim form to submit to your provider for reimbursement.
Insurance guidelines can be confusing, often
referrals are required before visits to labs, physical therapists and
similar. We encourage you to make yourself familiar with your plan’s
regulations, for management of medical reimbursements is ultimately
your responsibility. |
